Dear All,
We have issue at HRU Unit Membrane Failure . What can be its Causes & Alternatives to avoid re-happening?
Is there any familiar company making reliable and long term membranes for ammonia plant purge gases recovery?
it can be caused by NH3 carryover from your scrubber or water content too. air products makes prisms that we use for the HRU.
we use Draager tubes to ensure the NH3 content is below 5ppm of NH3.
in SU, we will run water over the top of the scrubber for several hours to the ground before putting it into service to ensure the packing is wetted and good absorption is achieved.
